A student approached me this morning and, having noticed that I washed my car over the weekend, jovially commented that I had missed a spot. I, being who I am, took the opportunity to employ the approach of Socrates, making a conversation of levity into one that would incite the student to think deeply about something mundane as what he had seen- a poorly washed car.
