Shadowmatic: A game in which students move around random objects in front of a simulated flashlight in order to find the shadow shape that object can make. This game is free and is good for a classroom warm up or as a fun activity when talking about light. (iOS): This application can be found on Elementary Science and Middle School Science
Binder: This app allows students to gather and organize digital texts and media for their classes in one location using any internet capable device. Instructors are also able to upload and share these digital resources for their course. It also allows for offline use of these texts. This free app is most effective for use in high school and higher education with some potential for middle school use (iOS, Android, Website). This application/website can be found on Classroom Tools
Quiver: This app allows students to bring drawings to life on their iPad. A number of coloring sheets are available to print through the app with some being education focused. Most educational pages are science and social studies related and all pages are appropriate for elementary and middle school students. This app is free with the option to purchase different coloring sheet collections. (iOS, Android, Kindle). This application can be found on Classroom Tools, Elementary Science, Elementary Social Studies, Middle School Science, Middle School Social Studies.
